RVR+ is Sphero’s revolutionary take on the programmable robot and is optimised for KS3 and KS4 classrooms as well as STEM, Computing and Robotics clubs. RVR+ is drivable right out of the box (no assembly or complicated setup needed), packed with a diverse suite of sensors, built for customisation, expandable, and made for programmers of all abilities.
RVR+ features a 4-pin UART and an onboard power source, allowing students to connect and run third-party hardware such as a Raspberry Pi, Arduino, BBC micro:bit, or Sphero's very own littleBits Topper Kit.
As well as the Sphero RVR+ programmable robot, each box includes:
- Removable cover plate and developer plate with quick-release button
- Removable, protective roll cage and Sphero BluePrint plate
- Removable and rechargeable battery
- Universal, 4-Pin UART expansion port for connecting 3rd party hardware like Raspberry Pi, or micro:bit (products sold separately)
- 5V 2.1A USB-A onboard connectivity to power your projects using RVR+’s battery
